Characters: the stem is flat cylindrical, twisted, 20-35cm long and 0.2-0.3cm in diameter; The surface is brownish yellow, with several longitudinal edges, obvious nodes, and residual fibrous roots on the lower nodes; It is brittle and easy to break. The leaves are alternate, folded and shrunken. After flattening, they are heart-shaped, 3-5cm long and 3-4.5cm wide; Apex acuminate, entire; The upper surface is dark yellowish green to dark brown, and the lower surface is grayish green or grayish brown; Petiole slender, base and stipule together to form sheath. Spikes terminal, yellowish brown. There is fishy smell after rubbing.
